Anyone is VIRGINIA interested in meeting with legislators? I am in Fairfax County, VA. Apart from posting here please PM me as well so we can get in touch quickly for the meeting.
Get the appointment with your congressman by yourself and then try to find company to go with. If you cannot find anyone who can go with you, then go alone and do your thing.
Get the documents from varsha or sanjay as mentioned in the first post and please follow the steps. They are very easy and everyone can do this alone if they cannot find other members in their local area to go with them.

I have talked to IV leadership and they have agreed to hold a rally in March 1st Week, if sufficient numbers indicate willingness to participate.

We need the IV core team and the administrator to guide some big rally's. Guys nothing will happen until we are bold about our intentions.

was it EB2 or EB3?
It was EB2. The vast majority of the CA's we show equivalent to a US bachelor's degree. However in this case since it is officially recognized as a PGD a professor felt it was equivalent to a US masters and USCIS agreed. As a rule I would say CA=BA + 5 years work exp is a better way to go for EB2.

This basicalkly means that too many cases are stuck in name check at I 140 and I 485 stage or that USCIS is not processing as fast as it ought to.
To give you an ex I have a friend with PD of Dec 1998 (original case not substitution) whose I 485 is stuck in name check., My friend is not a Muslim. There could be many others too.
What does this mean? That there are not as many approved labor cases as anticipated originally by the USCIS????

Recent discussions have indicated that both the Citizenship and Immigration Services (CIS) and the Department of Labor still have a significant amount of cases in their backlog reduction efforts. As a result, the anticipated increase in demand has not yet materialized and may not for some time. Therefore, in an effort to maximize number use under the annual numerical limit, the Worldwide and Philippines Employment Third preference cut-off dates have been advanced by one year.
Unless there is a significant increase in Employment demand, it will be necessary to continue this rate of movement during the upcoming months. Such movement could be expanded to include other chargeability areas and preference categories.
One consequence of rapid cut-off date advancement is the inevitable increase in demand for numbers as adjustment of status cases are brought to conclusion at CIS Offices. This is a really good initiative. I appreciate the IV core for taking this up. I have read enough stories from people on Murthy forums. I will ask people on those forums to post their stories first hand on IV forums.

I think EADs are sent to the applicant and AP to the attorney...had the same in my case...plus seen lots of folks here say the same thing...
EAD, AP & FP notice are sent directly to the applicant. If you see the status of AP as document mailed then you should get within 2/3 days as they send by DHL. I got mine in 2 days, my wife also got in 2 days

Does anyone know why USCIS has not released any processing dates in December. The last posting (at least for TSC) says that it was released on Nov 18th and dates are as of Sep 30th.
Is USCIS just going to skip December and consider a full month of holidays ?

I am not sure if this is the trend everywhere only in TX. The DPS - Department of public Safety which is issuing Driving License started asking for the Employment Verification or latest Pay Slip. I asked the officer if its the new requirement and she replied Yes, its started recently. If you are in H1 or H4 visa, you need to prove that you are still in job and getting paid. One more nail in the coffin.

Can you copy and paste the exact letter, i mean to ask the exact letter means does it contain any agent id.
1. Did you opened any SR in TSC around 10/14 or 10/15, We have a group of people who had the same problem in TSC during those days. all the letters replied by the same agent.
2. Find out from attorney if he charges any fee for this. If so please don't go with him.
take an info pass and find out the details.
This is the best way to find out. (As i told you the group of people got the same response, most of them took info pass and found that nothing wrong in their case)

Nov 13th. Recd FP Notice Nov 19. Appt next week. Notice created date is Nov 13.
Got a real nice lady on the phone who mentioned that FP should be coming soon and may have been delayed due to TSC-CSC-NSC transfer, which made the "actual" receipt date at NSC Oct 15 instead of July. She said she would put a request in the system to get FP scheduled soon. Not sure if the call had anything to do with it or not, but looks like notice got created same day.

He is considered among the future generation of leaders in america by the media. He is a front runner for vice president. He is the best political resource that could be used by IV. But he would not do anything as that would affect his image as a conservative republican. He doesnt understand the pain suffered by many who are not born here like him but are raised here (as white as he is), waiting for their GC as a dependent with the fear that if they turn 21 they will be deported seperating them from their families.

There is a lot of bad rap that we the legal immigrants have to face because of the rampant illegal immigrant problem, most of the folks here gets peeved off if an act has a bias towards that.

I did post about this. We have seen professor's expert opinion letters showing the equivalency to the MA being approved. However, the evidence does point to an equivalency to a BA.

This is the simplest Action Item ever, no travel, no holding placards, no visits to lawmakers, no real world activity. All that's needed is pen, paper, envelope and a stamp.I can't imagine anyone here who cannot afford any of these items.
Most members here will benefit here by 3 year EAD/APs, job flexibility and promotions. Members who missed the July VB boat, and new applicants, will get to apply 485 and get into the line. There was a hue and cry sometime back about restarting I-40 PP. Even that group stands to benefit as their demands are included too.
Hence the current low-level of participation is surprising. If we cannot collectively write even a letter for our cause, we might as well pack up or stop waiting/discussing VBs. They will be bleak for at least 4-5 years more. Come on folks, we can do better than this. We will write those letters and we'll succeed.
Write those letters and update the tracker. Your kids will thank you for it when they growup (all the money saved from 10 years EAD/AP can be turned into savings for them)
