I hate how you have to download the entire OS every time there's a small update like this. 666MB for a few bug fixes... Also, what's up with the 666MB? Maybe we should stay away from this update guys lol.
Same here! It's an "Apple" product with a "666"MB OS...anyone else thinking that's strangely close to a story with a snake in a garden? Haha. Kinda interesting.

Just ordered a silver 4GB with inscription for my girlfriend. It's her birthday present (from last month) and she got to choose the colour herself... :)
Ordered a Tucano Second Skin Guaina for my MacBook at the same time to save a buck on shipping... ;)
Now that the nanos look (and presumably feel) like the minis I might be tempted to get a nano, and not just a new battery, whenever my 1G green mini's battery decides to quit... a green 4GB nano would be a perfect replacement...

Yup. Adobe like to take money from you.
No kidding.
I will make a bold prediction - within 5 years the "major" upgrade cycle will be at 12 months, with the "mid-cycle" cycle at 6 months. The number of new features found in those major cycles will approximate the number we're seeing in the current mid-cycle updates.
But prices will not go down.
I also won't be surprised if, at that point, Adobe will only offer subscription (month to month) pricing - you won't be able to purchase the software outright (or buy what amounts to a perpetual license, if you want to be pedantic).

As great as Macs are, the price will still be a determining factor at the end of the day. I don't see it getting as popular as PCs are. Maybe 20%?
I think that is about right. Macs are still a premium and premium priced product. There is a limited market that can afford premium priced products. You can get a mini-tower system from HP/Dell/Acer for $700 and it costs > $2000 to get a similar performing system from Apple (even if the Apple does come with more "features"). Many people can't afford or justify the price difference.

I was joking around - in the original game there were literally sections that were copied and pasted to artificially lengthen the game.
Yea, the Library, I got that. I just misunderstood you, and thought you meant parts of Reach were artificially lengthened, which I was confused about. And yes, thankfully, there are no levels in this game reminiscent of The Library in CE, or Cortana in Halo 3. Those 2 levels, and the Flood within, are some of the worst things in the series, in my opinion.

I believe, as scripture details, that God established a covenant with Abraham and from this covenant the Jewish nation was born.
So the all-powerful super-being took a particular interest in Abraham's plight and no other (we could in theory suggest that the deity might have tried with others but Abraham was his first real success, which would neither improve nor detract from the story). Thereafter, the lives and fates of he and his children were bound to the deity, which bestowed upon them boons and miseries, as it saw fit.
Yet Mighty Yggdrasil, the Songlines, Sun Wukong, Tyhee Saghalie, etc, these are more absurd than the concept of an exclusive god? You earlier put forth that unbelievers cannot do good that is not vain or self glorifying: the history of your religion (by the approved texts) shows that you do have an intimate understanding of what those terms mean.
I understand that you think your view of the evidence is the correct view and I respect your right to have that opinion. However, the whole of both the Jewish and the Christian faith would disagree.
And the truth is democratic.

no, this will not happen. RCR is looking for publicity.
Yeah, never trust rumors unless there are more than one article about it. Remember the iSlate? The Best Buy scam? Other stuff I don't remember? You have to let it develop first. Just because Apple PATENTS it doesn't mean that they are going to USE it.

Apple rightly wants to gain as wide of a distribution as possible while the product is hot and lock in these slots on the floor. They should be able to ramp up production in the future. Also, these retailers are looking to increase traffic, which drives impulse purchases. Try getting your kid out of Toys-R-Us without buying anything.
Also, people are different. Some like to shop online, some like the personal attention from a specialized store, some will just pick it up on impulse.
It's certainly possible the breadth over depth availability will bite them, but right now it only helps feed the popularity to see it advertised everywhere and available almost nowhere. It's kind of like a hit song or pop artist, I guess. Perhaps iPad 2 is the electronics product version of Elvis or the Beatles.

No hardware in WWDC '11?
Apple always said they are about Software and Hardware, well then it wouldn't make sense for them to omit hardware from the conference.
So i'm predicting...
A completely revamped iOS, named iOS 5
Mac OS X Lion, the best OS yet.
A completely revamped MobileMe, a lot of free features but more space requires cheaper annual payments.
Additional cloud-like services nobody thought of.
Why does this sound like everything that might be shown? Or am i missing something?
i was hoping they would show off the iPhone 5 alongside iOS 5, and new iMacs for Mac OS X Lion, but i guess that won't be happening..

I shall (briefly) ponder the wisdom of your words when I'm putting in a 10-hour day tomorrow on the Mac.
OS X vs. Windows for work argument depends on your work.
Many industries do not have a versions of their software or database apps that run on OS X. Unfortunately, I happen to work for one of them. My industry has thousands of software packages, none of which run on OS X. I am not alone. In fact I would bet that >80% of businesses today run some software which will not run in OS X.
Being able to run Vista on a Mac is a lifesaver for me.

Woot!
Existing line upgraded
New size addition
Price drop
Solid approach by Apple. Looks like I am one step closer to getting my family (parents 60+) to switch. Man that will make my iLife :D so much easier.
C'mon 17" iMac refurbs for $899.
