I have a question for people who get fingerprinting notices to be done at San Antonio, Texas.
Do you people know of any childcare facilities that exist around that place to drop off toddlers during the finger printing process (I am not sure if they allow kids during fingerprinting).

my lawyer missed the 2nd july deadline even when he had all the papers. Now i am asking him to meet 30th july deadline he is not responding . what are the papers needed to file I485. Can I file it without lawyers help? He does have my immunization papers

The reason I am doing paper based is that current immigration question. In efile you have to make a selection which apparently doesnt have the AOS option. On paper based we can put, Adjustment of Status (I-485 Pending).

Hi,
Currently i am working for a for-profit company on F1-OPT until April-07 (when my OPT expires)
This company will file H1B for me on April 1st for start date of Oct 1st and consequently, i will be out of job for 5 months (May-Sept).
Previously the company said that they will put be on Leave of Absense (LOA) for this 5 month gap until my H1b start-date kicks off on Oct 1st but now,
they are telling me that i will be terminated at April but will be hired again on Oct 1st and they will not put me on LOA.
1. Is there any way i can protect my job as they are terminating me now and then promising me to re-hire again on Oct 1st?
2. Should i ask for a job offer later stating a new hire date of Oct 1st?
3. Anything i am missing here? -- concerned that they first told me i will be on LOA but now telling me i will be terminated and again re-hired.

In NYC (if it's closer for you) consulate you get the renewed/New Passport back on same day. I renewed my Kids passports there got back on same day.
For myself, I renewed in SFO back in 2001 and got them back in 5-7 days.

You're going to destroy us all! Giving people a program that makes web designing a lot easier is bad news for us web designers.
The thing is...it doesn't design the web page. It is only a visual representation or layout program to help the client get ideas for what they might like. Once they get that...it still needs to be designed and the information added.

when he used ac21, if he had done h1 trnasfer and started work after getting h1 receipt, then there is NO qn at all that he is OK. he can work at new plc, his GC keeps going fine.
but in his case, he jumped to EAD (lost his nonimmigrant status temporarily) and is trying to jump back to H1 status.
im not sure but i think u shud be OK.
- in one of rajiv khannas free conf call. one person had used ead/ac21 and had received "intent to deny 485". he was asking rajiv what shall i do if it gets denied?.
rajiv said, u can fight ur denial for sure, but immediately ask ur company to tranfer ur h1 based on reason that u have an approved 140. and once u get recept u can continue to work and stay here and fight the denial if it happens.

In that case I apologize. But of late there has been a spate of such suspicious activity. Look at the number of new threads opened about people being sent back by accounts with only 1 post. Looks at the pointless argument going over between messers snram4 and u.misc. Check their history and make up your own mind. I cannot imagine someone with any semblance of maturity could engage in just hideously low level argument. So obviously there is an agenda at work. To each is own . But please, its funny only if your audience finds it funny and there is nothing funny about the Feb visa bulletin no matter which part of the world you are from.
I only recently discovered IV and use to just read posts on Murthy earlier. It seems like some of the imbeciles from Murthy may have made their way here. There is so much nonsensical and agenda based talk on Murthy its not funny. And most galling is the fact that two of my posts that contained strong arguments against certain **famous** posters were not published!! They allow posts with name calling and rude language, but not with strong rebuttals against certain schools of thought.

I called USCIS and they told me to wait for 30 days and then give them a call back. If I call them after 30 days about the missing card, they might open a case for it. I am not sure how many days it will take for them to send the replacement card.
Should I go ahead and send them the replacement application for the missing EAD? any suggestions/experiences?
