If 3600 have been approved, then between 7200 and 9000 numbers have already been consumed based on an average of 2 or 2.5. Take your pick. We have only completed 4 business days in August. At this rate we'll blow through the 20,000 numbers in less than ten days. That means EB2 becomes U in Sept and it makes 2006 approvals look even more egregious.

One of the things I have heard explicitly from folks in India is: Come here first, then apply. They are typically unsure of folks who want to return until they actually do it. Leaving the US is not easy. From thought to action is difficult :-)
This topic may be a bit counterproductive to what we've set to achieve as IVians but I hope folks see this in a true light. I could have set the title 'Return to Homeland', in my case its Return to India, hence the title.
I have been here for the past 9 years and as days progressed, my heart is back home. I may be closer than I ever was to get a GC but it seems I am to a point where I really want to give a shot to R2I. Reasons are several and are probably alike to several of yours. Family, Support and the whole other 9 yards..
That said, finding jobs back home while you are here in US seem not the easiest. I have seen a few in Google/Microsoft but I suppose there are many more. I am looking to return to Hyderabad. The reason why I am posting this here to is to seek help. If you or your friends work for companies that are looking for experienced managers to R2I, I would appreciate if you could post it here or PM me.
I am looking to R2I early next year but if the right opportunity comes along, I cud do it sooner than that. Thanks.

Then again I presume it would involve paying a fee of $80 for the biometrics too each time you apply online. Could be avoided if we go paper based.
That does raise a small question here, the $1010 fee that we pay does that also exempt us on the biometric fee, so in essence AP/EAD/FP is all exempt irrespecitve the number of times we apply under the new fee structure?

Very true ! I am not sure what the moderators of Murhty forum are up to but yes the forum has been hijacked by a few very rude members. Can you tell me if all the 140's have been applied and approved from the same service center.
The USCIS has the jusrisdiction to review all previously approved 140's to check that the company has the ability to pay all its 140 fillings - most of teh times this is done if the company has mutiple filings in the same calendar year.
To answer your question if USCIS can come after you.. I guess yes.. I remember seeing a post on IV (member / user name Dimpi) where the persons 140 was rejected 2.5 years after it was approved.. this after him using AC21 and moving to another company...

I just received the following email from TSC. case status is also updated with a hard LUD. It seems like TSC online system is working again!!!!!!!

Genereic faxes requesting to remove hard country quota may not yield the desired result. It is very important to request any senater who is willing to help or undertand the issue. It should be done thro lobbying and explining him/her in person why it is important to the eliminate country quota, hard country quota increase the baklog instead of reducing it. He/She should to bring an amendment to the bills(Frist/Specter) to bring back the AC21 provision. Then we will get the success.
I hope IV will take care of this situation.
But please look at the first post in the thread requesting faxes to be sent. It clearly mentions our strategy of sending a generic faxes and letting QGA become more specific during their meetings
Also, we have had a ton of meetings with different senator's staff in DC (can't reveal their names as that would jeopardize our goodwill) where specifics were conveyed/discussed

DOL claimed that the newspaper ad was sent to them without the date of it. So we sent them back the whole paper-page where the date is usually printed at the very top with my job ad on it.
